The following are curriculum of the training meant for SHGs members:

 Providing the help and guidance for handicapped
 Health and environmental sanitation of villages.

Under the above training programmes, 1380 women SHGs members from 115 women SHGs of rural and urban have benefited.


Women Development Programme:

VEAD has assisted the Dalit women from women SHGs to promote mini Dairy units, vermi compost production units and coconut leaves knitting work with the subsidy loan from TAHDCO (Tamil Nadu Adi-dravidar and Housing Development Corporation), govt of Tamil Nadu during the Year 2012-2013.  In this connection, subsidy loan to the tune of Rs.50,00,000/- (Rupees Fifty Lakhs only) has been availed from the TAHDCO for economic Development of the Dalit women.


Awareness seminar on Aneamia and Nutrition Programme:

VEAD has conducted three awareness programmes in “women Aneamia and Nutrition” on 01.08.2012, 15.08.2012 and 25.08.2012 for 90 SHGs women through 3 batches. There 7 women and 4 child labor were identified as malnourished and aneamia who were referred to govt. taluk Hospital, Kulithalai for proper medical treatment and follow-up treatment with required iron tablets and tonic and multi-vitamin tablets. The treated women and child labor were given advise to take greens, vegetables and locally available fruits to improve health. VEAD’s survey report reveals that 15% of the rural women, children and lactating mothers suffered from malnutrition and aneamia in the target area.
